Great day out for the 'Senior' Women's Team (Alison C, Julie C & Annelise G).
Thankfully the rain held off for the women's race, and thanks to our supporters (some were shouting for Black Isle but better than nothing!) we all got through the course and weren't last.Slightly different route from the usual Forres XC - starting at the bottom of the 'hill' we went twice round Grant Park before heading up and joining onto 'horrible hill' , through a slightly different track through the woods before rejoining the familiar route.
Julie came in at 48 (31:05); Annelise in at 58 (37:27) and Alison in at 59 (38:35). The winner was Jennifer MacLean from Edinburgh AC (22:39).
Nairn - 30 Jan 2010
Well done to everyone who turned out today, supporters and runners, on a cold, windy and snow covered, but sunny day. Photos are in the Photo Album, results here:www.northleague.fsnet.co.uk
A brillaint day and a great course, wet, muddy, water-laden, get the picture? Why not check out the Photo Album for a feel for today. 12 of us travelled down to Keith to represent RCAC, Logan, Catriona, Mairi, Paul, Douglas, Ryan, Alison, Annelsie, Steve and Tom running with Lorna & Colin supporting. The highest finisher today was Ryan Moody, the 1st Club runner home in the U15 Boys race, 2nd to Thomas Day, ex RCAC running as a guest. Looks like the boys had a 3rd place, full results to follow.
It was a tough, muddy course, but the sun shone down for most of the day and everyone had a smile as they crossed the finish line.
Well done to all who came along: Runners: Finlay Todd, Logan Mathieson, Harry Richardson, Catriona Holland, Amiee Coulshed, Christy Eaglesham, Molly Todd, Douglas Holland, Mairi Gilmour & Annelise Glew. Supporters: Colin Gilmour, Neil Holland & Tom Todd.
