Alness Parkrun Takeover

Added on 02 April 2019

Ross County Athletics Club are planning a volunteer ‘take over’ of this event on Saturday 20th April 2019.

To safely run parkrun each week 16 volunteers are needed. Roles include course set up, timers, funnel finishing helpers and marshals. This is a great opportunity for Ross County AC to take over all the volunteering roles and thank the dedicated core team who commit their time every Saturday, rain or shine to bring such a positive community event to our area.  It will also give these amazing people a chance to run for a change!

The club are also keen to encourage new runners to parkrun so will be looking for existing members, family and friends to join in too as well as non-members who want to give it a go!  So if you’ve never tried parkrun before or it’s ages since you’ve been, please come along and join in the fun. You can run, jog or walk! As it is Easter weekend there will be some treats at the end along with the usual selection of fruit.

The weekly parkrun starts in Crawl Park at 9.30am.  Full details including the route and where to park can be found at http://www.parkrun.org.uk/alness/.

For those who have never run parkrun before its really easy to register. Go to https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/  and follow the instructions.  Once you have done this print off your barcode and remember to take it along as this will be scanned at the finish.
