The Aviva Series gives you the opportunity to witness great athletics action in your backyard with six world class events each year, and the 2011 season races into action on Saturday with the Aviva International Match at Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall ISA. The Aviva GB & NI team will be competing against the USA, Germany, Sweden and a Commonwealth Select in an exciting event that last year saw Britain’s multi-event specialist Jessica Ennis beat World Indoor Champion Lolo Jones in the 60m hurdles as she captained the home team to victory. Ennis returns as captain this year, but will face stiff competition from the USA team led by World and Olympic medallist in the 110m hurdles David Oliver. Full of fun family activities, from interactive athletics stands to exciting competitions, face painting and athlete autograph sessions this is an exciting event renowned for its electric atmosphere.
