Hanna Medals At Gordonston

Added on 02 March 2011

Hanna Cleghorn has been in the cross-country medals again.   This time it was the North Schools XC at Gordonston.  Well done Hanna and good luck to you at the Scottish Secondary Schools XC Champs in Irvine on 12th March.  Here's what Hanna thought of Gordonston.

"Gordounston was good! it was a really nice course- short and flat - not really my course as i'm better at longer, hillier courses but I really enjoyed it. It started on the rugby pitch and onto a bottleneck into the woods for about 500m, then we turned right onto the tarmac and went through a big gate. We then had to run along a grass track, then onto a stone path, on your left was a sewage works! Luckily you didn't smell it as you ran past! then you ran up more tarmac back onto the rugby pitch and back round again for another lap. I was a bit disappointed about coming 3rd as i usually beat the girls who came in front of me by about 2 minutes! but you can't win every race so i soon got over it."
