"Musketeers" fly the flag at inaugural Gairloch 10k
Added on 09 June 2010
At the inaugural Gairloch 'Sunflower' 10k, organised by Andy O'Sullivan MBE (who'd come all the way from Rochdale, and reknown for organising races UK-wide and in the photo above), 3 intrepid Black & Red's took their place at the starting line - Alison Cameron, Annelise & Steve Glew
It was a coastal out-and-back course, and in true Highland style classed as flat, but in dry sunny & warm weather we made our way - with live commentary (and an interview at the finish line) on Two Lochs Radio!
The glass of refreshing 'pop' at the end during the presentations help
Times were:(don't know exact positions yet but think Steve was 7th overall)
Steve Glew 44:46 (PB)
Annelise Glew & Alison Cameron 57:07 (or 57:13 by race stopwatch)
Much better times than our previous outing at the Laggan 10k (29/5):
Steve 46:46
Alison 60:29
Annelise 60:31
