On Saturday 20th September, at the Open Graded meeting in Inverness, James MacPhail, Under-17 Male, broke two of the Ross County AC records.
James won the 400m in a new club record time of 51.77s. The time broke Andrew Ramsay's 51.8s, which was run on 22/08/93.
James then won the 400m Hurdles in a fantastic new club record time of 55.91s. That broke Andrew Ramsay's 56.7s, which was run on 19/06/93.
James' 400mH time puts him further ahead in the 2008 Scottish Rankings for the event. It also shoots him into equal 6th place in the event, for the Under-17's in the entire UK.
