Ross County Athletics Club

Tain Hill Trail Race

Added on 27 October 2008
It was a well-drookit and wind-swept bunch of runners that took part in Saturday's Tain Hill Trail 12 mile Race and the 4 mile  "FUN" run.   Our club was represented by the two Thomas's, Day and Mathieson, who, faced with mud, gales, wind, rain, sun and lots of hills, found it a real challenging run.  The wind was so strong, that in parts of the course it was a struggle simply to move forward, and just to add a bit of spice, some newly fallen trees forced the runners to make new paths round or through these obstacles.

Despite the conditions, Thomas Day put in an excellent performance, coming in 2nd to an ex-Ross County athlete, Iain Campbell. Well done Thomas.
