James MacPhail from Strathpeffer, won the Gold Medal for the 400m Hurdles, while competing at the Scottish Under 17 Championships, which were held in Grangemouth on Saturday 23rd August 2008.
In winning the Gold Medal, James took 2.27s off his previous best time for the event, with a new p.b. time of 57.37s. The following day, James came through the heats of the 200m, to reach the Scottish Final, in another p.b. time of 23.45s.
